Is Our Program Right For You?

As an ACGME accredited dermatology residency program, we are looking for residents who are responsible, able to meet new challenges, flexible, team players, adaptable, reliable, mature, resourceful, motivated, inherently curious, love learning, can independently synthesize information and can think outside of the box.

We accept applicants who have completed prior residencies. Per the ACGME Dermatology Program Requirements, during the board-based clinical year (PGY-1), elective rotations in Dermatology must not exceed a total of two months.

We do not require any minimum board scores. All applicants will be screened holistically by the Program Leadership Team and a group of Faculty.

Visas

Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States by June of the first year of training. The program does not sponsor J-1 or H visas.

Interviewing and NRMP Match

Our program participates in The Match through NRMP.  For applicants who will have successfully completed a PGY-1 by June 30, 2024, you may apply for our Reserved Physician track which will start on July 1, 2024.  There is 1 position available for this track.  Otherwise, there are 3 positions available to start on July 1, 2025 and you may apply for these positions through our Advanced Track.  We will have one virtual interview date on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Certification

After successfully completing the Basic and Core Exams during residency, and completing the requirements to graduate from our program, residents will be eligible to sit for the Applied Certifying Exam of the American Board of Dermatology. Our program has a 100% pass rate for this board certification exam.
